NWPC Seniors Commit to NCAA Programs

This fall a handful of Northwest seniors will move on to compete for NCAA programs. These athletes (and their parents) dedicated countless hours towards practice and tournaments,  congratulations on this great accomplishment. From Mercer Island to Bellevue, this years senior class features four athletes moving on to play at the collegiate level.

 

Emily Guedel - Biola University

A nine year member of NWPC, Emily developed into a stand out center for her club and high school teams. An all-district and all-state high school athlete, Emily helped guide the NWPC 18u girls to a 12th place finish at the 2021 Junior Olympics.  she will continue her water polo career at NCAA DII school Biola University

Finn Friedland - Loyola Marymount University

Four over eight years Finn has been a goalie at Northwest. Finn has helped guide his Northwest teams win six PNW championships along with earning numerous high school accolades. Finn also represented team USA as a member of the development and futures national teams. Finn will move on to compete for Loyola Marymount University, joining fellow NWPC alumni Tyler Perry and Alex Marlow. 

Matthew Kwon - United States Air Force Academy

Matthew started with NWPC as a sophomore and quickly developed into a standout player with the 18u boys team. An all-district and team captain for Bellevue High School, Matthew will attend the United States Air Force Academy and compete for their NCAA DI program.

Robert " Bobby" Bakh - Penn-State Berhend 

Bobby started with NWPC as a 12u athlete,  helping several NWPC 14u and 16u teams to Pacific Northwest Zone Championships. Bobby will attend Penn-State Behrend this fall where he will compete for the Lions DIII water polo team.
