16s go 2-2 in San Diego
Northwest Water Polo Club 16u boys went 2-2 at the SD County Cup this past weekend.

Over the weekend the Northwest 16u boys took to the water in San Diego, CA to compete in the annual San Diego County Cup hosted by SD Shores. The tournament featured clubs teams from around the San Diego and LA area and the squad matched up against some great competition. Over the weekend the team earned mixed results while gaining valuable national level water polo experience.
Saturday started off rough as the boys dropped a closely contested match up to Poway B, 8-9. Game two told a similar story as the boys played hard but came up short 8-10 against Shores Gold. Sunday the 16s came ready to play, putting up a solid 11-10 win over Odin to secure their first win of the tournament. In the tournament closer the boys faced off against SD Stars and managed to come up with a 11-7 win to finishing strong with a 2-2 record.
Nice job by the 16s on a great weekend of water polo. The team will be back in the water this June for JO qualifiers down in Gresham, OR.
